The First Day Of Spring

The spring equinox takes place at 7:44 a.m. EDT.

The vernal equinox takes place when the sun passes directly within the duration of the equator, diving night and day to equal lengths. It is one of two equinox happenings within the duration of the year: The autumnal equinox takes place in September and marks the commence of the end season for the northern hemisphere.

The first day of spring is no guarantee of spring-like weather though.

CBS – spider 150x150 Paraplegic Man Suffers Spider Bite, Walks AgainHe’s been confined to a wheelchair for 20 years. Now a paraplegic man is walking again.  And his doctors call it a miracle. CBS station KOVR-TV in Sacramento went to Manteca, Calif. to find out how a spider bite helped get him back on his feet.

“I closed my eyes and then I was spinning like a flying saucer,” explains David Blancarte.

Valentine’s Day spending
