Seven BILLION of us… don’t you think it’s too many?
If you were located halfway between Earth and the moon, what acceleration would you have toward earth? Earth-Moon separation is 60 Earth radii.
It existed only from 1953-1963. I can’t find anything online that lists the population of this country. Please list the population and the year it had that population. Thanks in advance.
If there was binary planet system (two planets orbiting about a common barycenter outside both bodies) that still orbited one star, would we consider it a planet? Or would we create a new classification of planets?
I just heard a little bit about the earths magnetic field, and I was wondering what it really does for the earth? Besides the fact that it is the reason why compasses point north, what does the magnetic field do for the earth?
How do you celebrate Earth Day?
What efforts are you making to preserve our Mother Earth?
What would happen to Earth, in detail, if a sphere of 100 yards in diameter with a mass of 2000 tons were to spontaneous turn to pure energy, as per e=mc^2, 800 miles from Earth’s surface?
Would the resultant super-high-energy blast wipe out all life on the planet? Would the atmosphere be entirely ionized and blown away? Would the oceans be boiled away quickly? Or would Earth simply be vaporized? Or something less drastic or in between those options? Detail is appreciated.
Would the earth’s plates crack and go haywire and cause earthquakes all over the place? Or would the earth be thrown off its orbit?
If all the fat people in the world gathered in one country and then fell over would that affect the orbit?
How would Earth be different if it were farther from the sun? If you could move the Earth, would you move it closer to the sun, farther away from the sun, or leave it where it is?
The conditions on the surface of the Earth are influenced by the interaction between physical phenomena and generated both by the Sun and the Earth. Discuss these phenomena and explain how life on Earth is protected from dangerous radiation emitted by the sun.
Most young earth creationists claim that the earth is 6,000 years old (though the wikipedia page on this subject says the earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old). The dinosaurs existed over 100 million years ago, which disproves the young earth creationist myth regarding the age of the world.
What is the young earth creationist explanation for the dinosaurs?
What is the vector (speed and direction) of the earth motion around the sun?
Could you kindly state the equation of the earth motion around the sun? Also, from the equation, what is the earth vector on December 21, and on January 5, every year?
I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter. References to any site that shows the eccentricity of earth motion around the sun is also very much appreciated. Thank you!
Earth’s Surface is constantly absorbing energy from the Sun. Explain why
the Earth’s surface does not continue to heat up.
Scientist say the Earth is round, then again they say we have seasons because it is tilted towards the sun. So the question is are the scientist lieing to each other? In order to have seasons the earth would have to be oval shaped. So if it is round, how do we have seasons?
Does the Earth atmospere rotates the same way the Earth does?
Does the Earth gravity also play its part on the Earth atmosphere?
You know Luna (earths moon) controls the tides and helps us have 24 hour days right. Well what if a very Large asteroid say like 4 Vesta gets caught into earths orbit wouldn’t that cause serious Issues on earth.
The Earth rotates clockwise around the sun, right? What would happen if it suddenly rotated counter clockwise? How would life be different if the Earth normally rotated counter clockwise instead of clockwise? Sources?
Why or why not wold the difference in rotation effect life on Earth?
The radius of the earth’s orbit around the sun (assumed to be circular) is 1.50 x 10^8 km, and the earth travels around this orbit in 365 days.
What causes the Earth to move at a particular speed and what makes it move?
. If Earth and Venus somehow switched places, the Earth would experience a runaway greenhouse
eect. What do you think would happen to Venus? Specically, would it become Earth-like?
Google earth, Virtual earth, are there any just amazing live feeds price not an equation.
What kinda of consequences be for earth’s interior layers?
Earth Science 10 homework, could not find anything in textbook. please help.
We know that global warming is destroying earth. The earth becomes more unfriendly by the day, and only few people try to reduce global warming, most of us don’t even care about global warming. So eventually the earth will become an unfriendly planet. How long will the earth becomes an unlivable place for humans if there aren’t any environmental actions done? What’s the best action to counter it?
I forgot this, but please also state the reasons of your answers.
Will planet earth look like a blue star from another planet’s sky?
If yes, is it possible that somewhere in the universe earth is not named as “earth”
and is also considered a “heavenly body”.
Then, are we considered as “heavenly beings”? Are we viewed as a part of another planet’s heaven?
Earth Science homework question that i am stuck on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Since Earth is a sphere.
Would life still be possible on Earth?
(I know this is impossible due to the gravitational pull, but hypothetically speaking)
I know it is impossible, as I stated before. I said hypothetically speaking. thank you sunshine.
One revolution of the earth constitutes a 24 hour day. So, if the astronauts travel around the earth faster than the earth revolves in a 24 hour period, how is their time arrived at? And, just for fun, do they age faster?
The earth is slowing at a rate which makes a year increase by 35 days every 400 million years, so that when the earth was created 4.6 billion years ago, the year would not be 365 days a year, but rather 767 days per year (approximately). How would this angular momentum affect earth and the things on the earth at that point in time at that speed?
Would it also affect gravity, since the angular velocity would be closer to the escape velocity of the earth’s atmosphere?
I understand why the earth is heating up, but why does this effect climate change?
Why are weather conditions more extreme due to a warmer earth?
The Earth has a mass of close to 6.0 • 1024 kilograms, and the Moon has a mass of 7.4 • 1022 kg. The center of the Earth is 385,000 kilometers from the center of the Moon.
What would happen to the earth, if all parts of the earth, were to receive the same amount of the sun’s heat output in terms of temperature?
The rocks on Earth are much younger than the earth itself. How does this support the theory of plate tectonics?
Proponents of Young Earth theory assert that the Earth is no older than 15,000 years.
What evidence is available that refutes this theory? On what do they base this theory?
Thank you for your input.
Earth is very hot in the interior and this heat eventually escapes into space.
What is the rate of this energy loss in W/m^2?
Earth atmosphere mainly consists of nitrogen and oxygen, mars atmosphere mainly consists of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and argon?
I heard that the Earth is closer to the sun during Winter. How much closer is it by miles?
What would happen to earth if a massive asteroid hit the moon hard enough to push it out of its present orbit?
