If you were located halfway between Earth and the moon, what acceleration would you have toward earth? Earth-Moon separation is 60 Earth radii.

It existed only from 1953-1963. I can’t find anything online that lists the population of this country. Please list the population and the year it had that population. Thanks in advance.

If there was binary planet system (two planets orbiting about a common barycenter outside both bodies) that still orbited one star, would we consider it a planet? Or would we create a new classification of planets?

I just heard a little bit about the earths magnetic field, and I was wondering what it really does for the earth? Besides the fact that it is the reason why compasses point north, what does the magnetic field do for the earth?

How do you celebrate Earth Day?
What efforts are you making to preserve our Mother Earth?

What would happen to Earth, in detail, if a sphere of 100 yards in diameter with a mass of 2000 tons were to spontaneous turn to pure energy, as per e=mc^2, 800 miles from Earth’s surface?
Would the resultant super-high-energy blast wipe out all life on the planet? Would the atmosphere be entirely ionized and blown away? Would the oceans be boiled away quickly? Or would Earth simply be vaporized? Or something less drastic or in between those options? Detail is appreciated.

Would the earth’s plates crack and go haywire and cause earthquakes all over the place? Or would the earth be thrown off its orbit?
If all the fat people in the world gathered in one country and then fell over would that affect the orbit?

How would Earth be different if it were farther from the sun? If you could move the Earth, would you move it closer to the sun, farther away from the sun, or leave it where it is?
