I hope that the old saying “What one says speaks volumes about their character” does have exceptions as your posting is misinformed, very judgmental, and seems ignorant. First, you obviously did not research the facts of Jackson’s molestation cases, only personal accounts from the alleged victim. If you did, you would have surmised that the objective evidence in no way substantiated the alleged victim’s claims.
Secondly, Jackson did fight the case in criminal court and was acquitted. Criminal court and civil court are quit different because the burden of proof by the plaintiff is much lower in civil court. Furthermore, how can you really judge Jackson’s decision to settle a civil claim out of court when the whole ordeal was so costly up to that point (and could cost Jackson a lot more?) Also, applying your theory, why did the alleged victim settle the case, shouldn’t he have fought to the end?
Lastly, you seem so quick to rush to judgment and believe that Jackson is guilty and refuse to believe the possibility that the alleged victim’s father was motivated by money–as if a person lying and scheming for money isn’t a common occurrence. I would be remiss if I did not state that I found your evaluation of the relationship disturbing. The way that you described their relationship of being in love and having sex as if this instead were normal (between a minor and adult) are unsettling. When this dynamic does occur, it is viewed as unhealthy, it is detrimental to romanticize this in any way. Please feel free to comment back. Michael Jackson DID NOT pay that jordan kid and his family. Michael jacksons insurance company did. Michael Jackson and his lawyers were more than willing to go to court to fight the allegations but the insurance company decided they wanted to settle AGAINST michael Jacksons wishes.
